Dave Lambe

    Husker volleyball has John Cook; the Engler program has Dave Lambe. He is our lead entrepreneurial coach and just like John Cook, he knows how to train champions. Along with coordinating pitch competitions and Entrepreneur Camp, he teaches our upper-level entrepreneurship classes, Business Systems in Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development. Many previous students attribute Dave as the difference maker that propelled them to start their business. Honestly, anyone who has worked with him would not be surprised by that statement. With his own experience of running a successful cut flower distribution company, Dave is a coach who understands entrepreneurship on a personal level. That’s exactly his style of coaching too – personalized.

    When you sit down with Dave, he listens with an intensity so rarely found in today’s talk-over-one-another culture. Dave is a coach that is there to help you build your vision for your company rather than telling you what to do.

    While numbers may not seem fun to most people, he finds joy in helping students improve their financial literacy. In fact, as you walk by his office you will almost certainly hear him and whoever is he working with laughing because they are having so much fun. But don’t let his contagious laughter fool you. He is not afraid to hold you accountable. Facilitating an idea into tangible action is his expertise. If you want to take an idea from pen and paper to real-life implementation Dave Lambe is your guy. On the rare occasion you don’t find Dave in his office, he is most likely enjoying time with his wife, 2 daughters, and 16 grandchildren.
