Lincoln, NE — The Fall Engler Pitch Competition wasn’t just a showcase of entrepreneurial ideas — it was a celebration of boldness, creativity, and community. On November 14th, 52 Engler Entrepreneurs came together to step outside their comfort zones, pitch their ideas, and inspire one another in the pursuit of creating businesses that change the world.
More than a competition, the event embodied the Engler spirit of blazing trails, fostering camaraderie, and embracing challenges. As participants refined their ideas, they were surrounded by a network of like-minded individuals ready to support their journey.
Event Manager Alivia Knoerzer captured the heart of the event, saying, “The Engler Pitch Competition is different than anything you’ve seen before, with the opportunity to pitch your current business idea and learn how to play 10-point pitch. This year, it was a record number of 52 Engler students, which is wildly cool as there are 52 cards in a deck. In the Engler program, we do things differently, and this event does just that. It’s not easy to play 10-point pitch and give your business pitch. It takes courage, grit, and you have to have a little fire in your belly. This event will always be my favorite because of the community, competition, and the reminder that together we are part of something so much bigger than ourselves!”
This year’s winners exemplified the courage and ingenuity celebrated at the event:
Experienced Division Winners:
Sydney Wellsandt
Madison Kreifels
Novice Division Winners:
Reagan Choat
Kaden Van Winkle
Ainsley McConnell
Braeden Anderson
With a nod to the classic trick-taking card game “Pitch,” the competition served as a reminder that success in entrepreneurship and pitching a business requires strategy, adaptability, and teamwork.
