Michelle Bassford

    Michelle Bassford is basically Engler’s Mary Poppins – sensible, witty, and seemingly full of magic. Perhaps her star quality comes from her experience as an extra in a few movies, but more than likely it is due to her unwavering heart for intentionally creating moments for others to cherish. With her warm smile and kind spirit, she makes each student feel uniquely at home.
She is able to take abstract concepts and create efficient strategies to bring those ideas to life. As our Chief Experience Officer, Michelle leads all events and experiences hosted by Engler. She diligently works behind the scenes to make every detail catered to the needs of our community. A guru of navigating UNL class enrollment, she guides students on how to properly enroll for upcoming classes and modules.

    Michelle is deeply invested in cultivating lasting relationships with students and intentionally reaches out to alums to keep updated on new milestones including engagements, marriages, new babies, business launches, restarts, and pivots. Her efforts help keep alums connected to the program long after they graduate from UNL.

    If you have any question about an upcoming event, class, module, the history of the program, or really anything Engler related, Michelle is the person to talk to. She is also a great resource for students who want to learn from an expert about how to create moments of impact for their employees or customers. Outside of Engler, Michelle is a devoted mother of two and an avid Husker sports fan.
